  1. How does a company apply for Corporate Membership?

    By invitation only. Any corporation, entity, firm or organisation may write to the Membership Services Department to indicate its interest in becoming a Corporate Member of the Club, and submit the following supporting information and documents for the Club’s consideration:-

    (i) A general description of the entity’s operation in Hong Kong and/or overseas;
    (ii) A copy of the company’s most recently published annual report and financial report;
    (iii) A copy of the entity's constitutional documents including (if applicable) Certificate of Incorporation, Memorandum and Articles of Association, and Business Registration Certificate;
    (iv) The governance structure of the entity in Hong Kong and/or overseas, including the latest annual return with shareholders’ and directors’ information, the names of their senior executives and their respective titles and duties; and
    (v) other information which the entity considers relevant to the application.

    Whether an invitation to Membership will be extended is at the absolute discretion of the Stewards of the Club. The Stewards will generally consider factors including the entity’s business nature, operation scale, financial standings, business turnover and other factors as the Stewards think fit.

  2. How much is the joining fee and monthly subscription for Corporate Membership?

    There are two types of Corporate Membership, Scheme A and Scheme B.  Under both Schemes, the Corporate Member can nominate one full time Member of the Corporate Member’s staff who is ordinarily resident in Hong Kong as the Registered Nominee.  A Registered Nominee may enjoy the same rights and privileges as a Full Member.

    The difference between Scheme A and Scheme B Corporate Membership is the period for nomineeship of a Registered Nominee.   Under Scheme A Corporate Membership, an individual can only be registered as the Registered Nominee for a maximum period of 36 months, after which the Corporate Member would need to register another individual as the Registered Nominee.  Under Scheme B Corporate Membership, an individual can remain as a Registered Nominee until he is replaced by the Corporate Member or removed by the Club in accordance with the Club’s Articles of Association and prevailing bye-laws.

    The joining fee for Scheme A Corporate Membership is currently at HK$3,000,000 and the joining fee for Scheme B Corporate Membership is currently at HK$5,200,000 respectively.   Corporate Members are also required to pay a monthly subscription currently at HK$2,800* for continued enjoyment of Membership facilities and privileges.

    Entrance Fees and monthly subscriptions are subject to review by the Stewards from time to time.  All fees and charges paid are not refundable.
