I don't have any Betting Account. Could I Register for a Login Name?
Yes. Anyone aged 18 or above can Register for a Login Name even if you don't currently have a betting account. However, should you choose to open any type of HKJC account in the future, you simply need to associate that account to your Login Name through the online administrative functions.
Do I need 2 different Login Names to logon to Online Betting Services' eWin as well as other HKJC online services?
No. Upon successful registration for a Login Name, you will have your own "Login Name" and "Password" which you will use to logon to various HKJC web services. The Dual Authentication Method adopted by Online Betting Services (eWin) allows users to logon with your "Password" and "Login Answer".
What are the prerequisites and configuration for Login Name registration?
Remarks
The absence of a particular PC configuration from the list does not mean that it is incompatible with the eWin. The above configuration will be subject to continuing testing and review
Can I choose my own Password ?
Yes. You can set up your own Password, which must be 8 to 20 characters in length, including both alphabet (case sensitive) and numeric characters. To protect your Login information and personal data, we strongly recommend that you do not associate your Password with anything personal such as your HKID card number, birthday, etc, and the "Password" cannot duplicate with the "Login Name". Also, please avoid using repetitive or consecutive digits and letters of the alphabet.
What are the functions of "Login Question(s)" and "Login Answer(s)"?
The selected "Login Question(s)" and their respective "Login Answer(s)" that you have set up during registration are used for logging onto the Online Betting Service (eWin).
The Dual Authentication Method used by Online Betting Service (eWin) enables the user to use their own "Password" and "Login Answer(s)" to login, which is safe and convenient.
What is the function of the Password Recovery Question?
If you are a User without any association with an HKJC account(s), you are required to set up a "Password Recovery Question" during registration. When you forget your "Password", you will be required to answer this question as identity verification before the system sends the new password to you through email.
If you are a User with an associated Betting Account or Racing Club Account, your identity will be validated through the provision of other information instead of the "Password Recovery Question" when you forget your password.
